I agree here. We need more apps on pine phone but NOT in some cases pre-installed,

I wonder if the facebook app would even work when it can't figure out your location as you have turned the GPS thingy off and other features to hamper that tracking if people insist on using facebook, in fact having to go through hoops to get facebook functionality may make people realise what that app does and make people think twice.

"Many public schools, unless the community pays for it, do not have elevators for students with mobility or medical issues; many of them do not have ramps that enable physically disabled people to even enter the building, ensuring that all disabled community members stay out. "

However elevators are not meant to be used in the event of fire, where as ramps are much safer.

If a school is new build corridors can be on a slope if one end is higher than the other, rather than with stairs or steps.

One of the things I constantly run into (in anarchist circles, particularly as a school abolitionist, and in reading history) is discussion of age.

Unfortunately, there are still far too many people who are skeptical of Youth Liberation (many often misrepresent it as "ignoring the needs of growing children" rather than a more accurate understanding of it being "caring for children while acknowledging their agency and autonomy").

There are still far too many people sharing the ideals of "it's creepy if children talk to any adults except these few" (implying that all adults except those have bad motives, which harms our understanding of predators and predatory relationships) or "children *must* be in school because they won't learn in any other way" (neglecting what we know about how people learn). And they do this without even pausing to consider the ramifications.

But another often overlooked thing? Is the lack of being able to pass down and build upon a shared movement.

@whatanerd I like the 3rd paragraph here, I find within some free software groups that age hardly plays in to the conversation, in that anyone can contribute equally to a project.

I also agree about out of school learning, children thrive if given the right tools to learn a safe and suitable place to learn (which varies depending on subject I guess) and exposure to a wide range of experiences to enhance learning.

-be babysat while parents go be capitalist cogs 8+ hours per day
-Get bullied, shamed
-Get covid & other illnesses
-Get substandard education (54% of US is below junior high reading level)
-Forced indoctrination into American exceptionalism / capitalism / fictional history / brain poison.
