@freemo @icedquinn Sounds good, It may be something I can talk to people about if / when working in a school or almost certainly at the a STEM group which I am trying to set up at the moment,
barrier to meeting at the moment is room at the library is owned by local council and we need their go ahead to use the rooms.
Sounds like something that we cna also add resources to on the discourse forum, collate links / ideas so going forward hopefully people (esp young people ) will have the right mindset, the rest of us can hold science to account especially if public funded via taxation.
Just a thought that, but i guess there are refinements within that.
Open access, open review, peer review, and replication are all necessary elements to detect fallacies (whether intentional as fraud or not). Any of them, when applies in a healthy environment, will reduce fallacies, but they arent perfect.

People have been demanding big tech does more about child abuse and other 'material' on line for years. Tech companies are under pressure to act. Result badly thought out ideas by big tech and very bad policies from clueless politicians, which the authorities have to implement.
Meanwhile when young people complain about being sexually harassed,, assaulted or in some cases raped they are IGNORED by schools who should legally (at least in the United Kingdom ) act and take disclosures seriously.

The internet is NOT a child minder.
@ShowerThoughts People have tried that with Facebook and the pictures have been censored.
I am sure it is different here though, we seem far more sensible. If i am offended by a poster I unfollow mute or block them, not difficult and not difficult for anyone else either.
Not everyone is going to see the same post in the same way or agree with people.
Releasing Debian 11 doesn't mean Debian 10 "buster" is abandoned. Debian supports the previous version for at least twelve months following a new release, before it moves to the LTS and eLTS teams for further maintenance #ReleasingDebianBullseye
@icedquinn @freemo is this why we want better open access to science papers and journals to make the process more open. ?
@icedquinn Isn't this why we have peer reviews. ? @freemo or am I missing somnething ?
