@Ricardus Yeah, Make America Great Again by throwing these people in prison esp if they want to try and overthrow a democratically elected government, may not be perfect,but they are elected.
We should not be worried about facebook . ticktok , youtube etc, they are set up for commercialisation
What we should concentrate on is creating, building and improving these alternative to all that. We have that, with peertube, pixel fed and here on Mastodon etc.
We are doing this of course.
Of course if facebook et al start to threaten us then we should take action in self defense of our right to privacy.

I don't want tracking or advertising as I see it as intrusive and of no real purpose or value. So freedom from that is +1 for me, freedom to choose if I block people is also important, I am an adult I can decide something is offensive or not.
Freedom from AI that makes decisions despite not actually knowing me is a +1 too.
