announcement
As a result of a critical system failure on October 3rd of 2021, Misskey.io's has been rolled back to a backup made on April 4th of 2021.
In accordance with this, all account data has also been reset to the state it was in at the point this backup was made. We are greatly sorry for the inconvenience, but would like to ask users of remote instances that have followed users from Misskey.io between the above stated timespan to please cancel and re-follow the users that they have followed, as while it may seem like you are following them, this is not being correctly reflected.
Additionally, we would be happy if you could please spread the news of this post to as many people as you are able to.
Once again, we sincerely apologize for the great trouble caused by this incident and ask for both understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Surely this will breach anti competition laws.

We want to better understand end-users’ experience with #RouterFreedom and their ISPs, so we can react accordingly.
Your opinion is extremely important for us. This #survey will take only few minutes, and it will help us a lot.

facebook, serious talk
Time will tell what happens next, how people react to not only facebook, insta and whatsapp going down but all the related revelations and if this (or what) will change attitudes or feelings.
Perhaps the twitch data leak will add to this as it shows just how much data these companies hold on people..

It should be possible to be here and on other social media too. activitypub plugins make that possible, even if you just set up an e-mail notification, in case anyone responds at least you kinda reach people here.
At first it may seem less worth while but longer term it would be worth it, at least you're reaching different people and once people know you exist they can tell others.

Catch 22 for many of them, plus facebook is free to use. If we use the free as you are a product, people ask what is the difference with the fedi which is also free
I think that makes our job more difficult.

A small business on facebook may use that to keep i touch ith their customers if they move first then customers will also move
As part of this we need to ry and get more businesses to move here. But we need to follow the and they kinda need to generate income from their new followers not just existing followers.
It has to make business sense esp for small / sole traders

There is a download helper plugin for browsers, that may help ith this.
