World Mental Health Day
This Sunday 10 October, is World Mental Health Day and a reminder to us all to look after our mind as well as our body, and to have open and honest conversations with those around us about how we feel.
Before the pandemic, Torbay residents generally reported positive wellbeing, however almost 1 in 4 said they had high anxiety levels and around 1 in 5 residents self-reported having a common mental disorder such as anxiety or depression.
As our lives begin to return to normal, many of us who have been struggling with our mental health will have the resilience to bounce back but there will be those who continue to struggle and require help and support.
In response, we have been working with partners across Devon to improve our residents' access to mental health and wellbeing services.

If there is anyone here who'd like to work with me as a Research Associate from 1 Jan 2022 until 31 July 2023 or for a shorter period, full-time or part-time, please let me know.
Closing date is 13 Oct, no applicants so far so I will re-advertise if needed.
The post is on a research project at the intersection of embedded systems (SW&HW), programming languages, compilers, runtime systems and type theory. So if you know about any of these areas, it may suit you.

Meaning, of course, that Mozilla was already collecting, storing, and sharing what you typed in the URL bar.
@ScienceDaily@newsbots.eu Somehow I think that sending robots to moon / mars etc is going to be far more viable than a colony of humans given we need to protect people from radiation which is going to be far more difficult.
Maybe send people for short missions to fix things or do odd tasks robots can't do easily.
@seachaint You still use chalk and a blackboard, nice :)
