I tried to contact the main body for GPs to ask for info on careers so I can try and promote at the STEM group I am involved with (as it is a good career option) so far no reply,

If they want more GPs surely they need to be pro-active and support even small grass roots efforts to promote STEM

@Greenpeace@newsbots.eu Look at the skills that can be transferred over from old industries to new. If people feel they can get new jobs they will back the idea, if they feel they are going to be thrown on a scrapheap they are probably less likely to want co change.
