@avalos@mstdn.social Why did they choose to do that, perhaps other sources of income were too low forcing them to make those decisions.

It seems free software, generally needs better funding streams.

@avalos@mstdn.social @snaums

Distros need to be putting alternatives in their repositories to make them easy to find / install, maintainers are also going to have to keep up with the updates etc.

I agree, encouraging more people to enable their site using activity pub would be good to, as this allows federation. This is only really 1/2 that story as it really helps to interact with those who are commenting on posts.

James Webb Space Telescope

Secondary Mirror Deployment Complete

The Secondary Mirror is fully deployed and latched.

It looks like deployments are ahead of schedule too.

@ScienceDaily@newsbots.eu This makes sense.

@rixty_dixet Aww

@benjaminhollon

No problem, I make regular blog posts, oddly they only federate if manually posted. If I schedule them they don''t federate.

This is probably a bug, but actually suits me fine.

I appear to be subscribed to the cloudflare blog, I did not subscribe to this.

Trying to contact them, I eventually find a form,

Can someone please suggests they SACK the person who designed the colour scheme. It is very hard to read, and hardly adheres to accessibility standards.

Shows how sloppy they are.

I can't contact them as I refuse to give them personal information just to tell them to unsubscribe from the blog.

They send html e-mail anyway, which on my client is just a mass of html.

@Wivik All popups are annoying now, or starting to be.

@benjaminhollon
