I think what we need here is extra @parents4future

We could have @parents4future

climatejustice.uk climatejustice.us climatejustice.fr

for example.

The legal framework on the teaching of religion in schools in Wales has been transformed with a greater focus on non-religious beliefs. Yet, the law requiring a daily act of religious worship belongs in a different century. My latest book argues that reform is needed in both England and in Wales: anthempress.com/religion-in-sc

Thanks to Elon Musk, it seems that #Mastodon is really coming out of the woods! 🌄

All mainstream medias are now talking about Mastodon, as THE alternative to #Twitter... 💪

Even the @TIME TIME Magazine, has this great interview with Mastodon's creator Eugen Rochko @Gargron

Lots of Mastodon instances are struggling with the heavy influx of users. Twitter was the same in the early days. The Fail Whale, was something you’d see on a regular basis. Gives it a chance, things will get better.

@OpenSet Hopefully, fingers cross for you; these events are special as they are rare.

@zleap I'm hoping it holds out here in North Carolina, been hit and miss with the cloud cover all week

@coogie Indeed if nothing else it adds that content to your own timeline so you can see it later and others see what you are interested in.

@jhpot Thank you, and you're welcome, if nothing else what you just said there also speaks volumes about the community too.

I'm so grateful for the tips, pranks, and (most importantly) honest feedback about what it means to engage here with intention. I'll start writing this afternoon. I sincerely hope I don't let you all down—I'm going to do my best.

@atomicpoet There used to be a saying back in the 90s

Use the Force, Read the source

For the most part the community helpful to those who have at least tried to demonstrate they have tried to solve the issue first.

e.g I have problem with software program x version y
I am using OS e.g Debian 11 + latest updates
I have searched for the issue but am not sure if this is the best solution for what I want to do

paste info here

that way it shows you have tried to look things up but just need a little clarity for example.

This is also a reminder that free and open source software doesn't mean "free help".

In fact, it means the opposite.

Free and open source software is free of warranties and you use it at your own risk.

Talked to someone two days ago about #Mastodon and they thought it sounded a bit strange.

Today they are asking me what server they should join. Change happens quicker than you think.

Thanks to @davidoclubb for promoting the protocol and @jaz for running this instance.

Ever wish you had an easy-to-follow checklist when designing learning for students? I know I have…often. Some of my colleagues effortlessly design amazing lessons, but I have to plod through each point. But lesson design is something that is critical to ultimate success in the classroom for each student. That’s why I’d like to take a moment to share my latest version of the outline I use. blog.tcea.org/meet-aldo-amazin #EduTooter #Educaton #EvidenceBasedTeaching #TCEA @edutooters

As the @raspberry_pi foundation are here, any chance of a specific Code Club and Coder Dojo accounts being here too, would be great to have a way to connect with other code club people but also share projects etc.
