I've had lots of admins contact me for advice/help with server management stuff with this new influx and everyone spinning up servers. A few people have joined the .art Discord and we've made a special role for 'fedimins' (fedi admins) where we can get help and discuss mod/admin actions etc.

Hurrah, there's a wikipedia entry on academic journals (yes, I, an academic, think wikipedia is good actually). The first journals are listed as having been published in 1665. I learn from elsewhere that peer review was introduced in 1731 by the Royal Society of Edinburgh. Super interesting. I'm going to call bullshit on Salt's claim about his essay.
