I am trying to do that with blog posts in relation to twitter etc if you are on twitter then you are the problem and not part of the solution. (exception are those on there to help report back what is going on, keep up that good work)
This is mostly aimed at places such as schools who claim a commitment to safeguarding but still use platforms such as Twitter, facebook etc
We can and will be prepared, we will fight and defend what we have, if Ukraine can stand up to Russia and humiliate Putin, we can certainly stand up to Meta and humiliate Zukerberg.

Same here about the UK system.
If the UK daily mail website is anything to go by they keep repeating state media propaganda that Russia wants to target the UK with a nuclear missile, the mail seem obsessed with repeating that narrative.
I read stories about how people were treated during the Holocaust thanks to @auschwitzmuseum and watching documentaries but these stories are almost on par with that, horrific,
To think this was about 100 years ago too,
That looks endless, must have been a very grim and intimidating place at the time. I bet you wish those cell walls could talk at times, so you can hear their stories.

I think it means cross party consensus, i haver heard it mentioned on the news in relation to US politics, but yes, politics is so polarised then that is something that is very unlikely to happen, in a lot of cases.
Ah, that was it, I guess since George Bush Junior we have had Obama and then Trump so no consistent policy and no bipartisan collaboration to fix things long term.

Given that teachers get paid, then perhaps we need to remind the university that it is the students who pay the fees to fund the salaries of the decison makers. If no one wants to study there, then that is a huge funding stream cut off.
If there are colleges / unis nearby that support #trans they could perhaps offer deals to attract students to a college that is more respectful to #trans and others.

I guess today's main character is "do you support artists & other creators building an audience?"
A.K.A. "making a living" at least partially based on using their social media presence to show off their work and reach supporters.
This is actually a very simple equation:
Q: "Do you like 'things/stuff' (like art, open source code, how to videos, etc.)?"
A: "Because, if you don't support creators and the content they are making, then you won't "get more of whatever it is that you like."
Stop being a dick to people who are "doing useful stuff" . . and save your rage for Billionaires, corporations, people who are here to 'Farm Rage Clicks" and other abusive assholes on the internet.

I am waiting for our governments plan to fall apart at the seams, if that happens they are hopefully finished as a ruling government.
As people have said here, claiming Asylum is NOT illegal, it is a right under the UN human rights charter thing.
Provide safe routes in to other countries, (esp if life is at immediate risk) claim asylum there if need be, if you have family in another country they could claim asylum in the 3rd country from there surely.
In the case of natural disaster or war, we really do have a duty to help people.
There are better ways to do this, some of these people are in dire need, to turn them away and send them home could be interesting if they escape say iran for protesting agsinst the government, and face the death penalty, what happens if we send them home and they are then executed, the ban on re-entry to the UK won't be needed, but as a country we will have facilitated in the death, as a country we will be both complicit and accessory.
Not sure if we have an embassy or consulate in Iran, but if not how else are people meant to claim asylum in a safe country, most people around the world seem to learn English as a 2nd language, ( a legacy of Empire that, I guess) , so it is probably understandable that they seek asylum here or other English speaking country, the same could be said for former french colonies, where the language is French, refugees seek asylum in France due to language(s) spoken.
Another plan may be to figure out how to fix the countries people are coming from so they are safer, not at war and rewarded in some way (e.g trade, investment) for doing the right thing for their own people.
