Indeed, a system such as this is probably available now, perhaps however some sort of open source / free software solution would also work better as that would aid transparency.

@zleap @Tilopa that’s why we need a new system that doesn’t allow them to take those documents without it being tracked. There’s no excuse for us not even knowing what’s missing

@twitterreject @Tilopa@convo.casa

I think this would work for most people, Trump however is a lw unto himself and would probably ignore any such rules.

@zleap @Tilopa yes now is under Biden admin but the documents at his garage were from Obama presidency. Pence had some too. I’d bet a few others have some also. So far they’ve only been found in ex president & ex VP possession so the problem isn’t access but rather the system for managing them. If we aren’t gonna dispose of them automatically then we need a heavily monitoring system. They have to be viewed in completely private settings. Security should be same afterward.

@twitterreject @Tilopa@convo.casa

The problem is, the recent leak is under the Biden adminstration, it seems like there are peope who have access to this information who should not have been given that clearance or the systems are not protected enough.

Perhaps put sensitve files on servers NOT connected to the internet in any shape way or form. Physical access ONLY to the physical files or to the servers.

Our latest research shows @Office365 offers surveillance features that allow employers to read all users communication without their knowledge.

I need your help…

NPR is leaving Twitter but they are planning to focus on Instagram

We need to tell them to join the Fediverse

Many of their journalists’ accounts, as well as their main account, haven’t been active on mastodon. Tell them how much we need them here. (In fact, they should have their own instance)

Use the link, tell NPR we are waiting for them here and spread the word far and wide:

@MeidasTouch

We should perhaps take this news with caution, given the outrge caused, you can understand why he was re-instated, so doing so to silence critics, and deflect attention from you is one thing, doing this because it was a bad decision and therefore the 'right' thing to do is slightly different.

Given what IS going on, attempts to deflect attention should never work.

@reinouts @helenczerski

Good point, hopefully more public can be either Electric or ideally Hydrogen powered, at least the latter fuel is easier to produce, getting Lithium out of the ground seems to come with it's own environmental cost(s)

@twitterreject @Tilopa@convo.casa

So who is at fault here? If Trump did give or sell secrets. Surely there are safeguards, checks in place with regard to all documents, so something must have gone wrong with the process.

The spy clause in the Online Safety Bill (UK) introduces scanning of our private messages.

It gives Ofcom powers to make private services install monitoring technology that meets Home Office 'approved standards.' This software will undermine encryption.

Here's why we need to resist the attack on our privacy. #StopTheSpyClause

@Ansi

I like this, not just because of the content, but the colour scheme means it can be easily printed, if you have a dark background it uses a lot more ink or toner to print.

@globalplantGPC

Good point, what is kinda worrying is our changing temperatures, we user to have cold winters, warmer springs, hot summers then coolder Autumn (Fall) and then cold winters again.

Now we seem to get a mixture of all of those, so our winter was more than 2 degrees above normal, so flowers / plants grow earlier, we then have wet / cold periods, (even frost)

So plants are having to try and adapt to this too.

@info_activism

Maybe we can amend this

is it free (if so how do they make money) or
is it free (as in freedom) software

the latter (which may not be perfect for everyone) is free to use, modify, share and study, where as Facebook is free, but you are needed to provide data which generates their income.

It just helps differentiate free (as in cost) and free and in freedom.
