As soon as your data leaves the US you lose control of it,

However it does seem Israel has similar laws on data to the GDPR

If commissioning attacks on trans people wasn’t enough for you to delete twitter / X

If supporting anti-democracy propaganda and anti-vaccine rhetoric wasn’t enough

If LITERAL payments to Nazis wasn’t enough

And if Elon selling your information to nefarious nation state intelligence organizations isn’t enough?

I don’t even know what to say to you

Except that I have 0 respect for you.

Because I'm only seeing other #Jews posting about this, non-Jews I need you to be aware that for the past month or two there has been a wave of bomb threats and swattings at #synagogues all across the US. They usually do it when services are being livestreamed. I haven't seen a single non-Jew talking about this. High holidays are coming up in a few weeks, which is when most attacks happen against our #communities. We're worried, and we need #people to know what's happening to us.

@reignasi @davidho

Ah ok, so with Fukishima in Japan it looks like they are dumping this internal water in to the sea?

@zleap @davidho no, by design nuclear reactors have two cooling circuits. The internal one is radioactive, but is never mixed with the external one. In correct operation, the internal circuit only exchanges heat with the river water.

@reignasi @davidho

Thanks, would any returned water also have radioactive isotopes in with it, e.g Tritium.

@zleap @davidho no, the river water is not too warm to cool reactors. It's too warm in the sense that after cooling the reactor, it would be returned to the river too hot for wildlife. A nuclear accident is not at stakes at the moment, but a huge ecological problem is.

@davidho

Not good at all, so water temperature in rivers is now too warm to cool reactors, we are really messing things up, will it take an over heating nuclear reactor going bang, irradiating a huge area for people to FINALLY WAKE UP. ?

I have a message for nuclear bros about climate change. Heatwaves will affect the operations of existing nuclear power plants.

Also, we shouldn’t shut down existing nuclear power plants but we can’t build sufficient number of new ones fast enough to decarbonize with just nuclear.

This wasn’t my main target last night but the Orion Nebula came up over the trees just before dawn and I was able to get a few exposures stacked.

Call out hypocritical Republicans who pretend they care about kids. Their extreme gun rights are killing kids more than anything else in USA.

And sometimes, in doing so you hit upon a solution to a problem.

PS. It’s so valuable to keep talking about and sharing what you’re building/working on. I found two issues that need fixing (a bug with database updates and some missing documentation) while writing up the previous post alone.

You discover so much about the thing you’re building by attempting to explain it to someone else in the simplest possible terms.
