@noam

To break from current posting, you have to givef Netenyahu some credit for bringing together deeply divided parties in a time of national crisis. Which is more than can be said for what is going on in the USA, the world needs the US to be strong, but instead we have a bunch of politicians who can't put their differences to one side, and come together and help the world avoid a catastrophe of massive proportions.

So much for Democracy works, in this case it certainly isn't
Mean while in the UK it seems that it is STILL conference season, Parliament should have been recalled on October 7th.

Ambulances being targeted by Israeli air attacks: Aid group

The Gaza programme manager for Medical Aid for Palestinians says ambulances in Gaza are being targeted by Israeli air raids.

“Sometimes ambulances can’t go immediately to the place because there is loss of communication, and you don’t know if they’re going to be targeted immediately or not,” Mahmoud Shalabi said.

“To die during this time is better than to get injured, because your treatment is going to be delayed. So this is actually more merciful than being injured during these attacks.”

@estelle4565 @w7voa

If they can't go after Netenyau they can certainly go after those who are allowing this to happen and supporting the narrative this self defense , it has gone way beyond that now.

Right before the Russians invaded Ukraine I rewrote the theme to Dads Army, (as who do you think you are kidding mr Putin) despite the odds Ukraine have held off the russian storm.

So Maybe this will have the same result.

Who do you think you are Kidding Netenyahu
if you think we're on the run
We are the boys who will stop your little game
We are the boys who will make you think again
So who do you think you are kidding Netenyahu
If you think Gaza is done.

This is for the people of Gaza and NOT Hamas. I don't support Hamas.

On a serious note, as others have said this invasion is going to end very badly indeed.

Respect international law and STOP THIS MADNESS.

@faab64

Russia has units stationed in Syria, if they get caught in the cross fire, then we could be looking at some real escalation.

"U.S. Defense Officials have told the Israeli Government that U.S. Naval Ships in the Eastern Mediterranean will be used to Shoot Down Missiles that are launched by #Hezbollah in Lebanon and that U.S. Forces across the Middle East will Target a number of Pro-Iranian Groups in #Syria and #Iraq if this Escalates into a Regional Conflict."

Daddy wants to make sure his boy can play genocide uninterrupted.

@zleap @GottaLaff that's the unspoken thing here. Naming that they are moving perilously close to being the Nazis in this situation is just not tolerated.

The *Public* statements from various Israeli leaders leave vast amounts of doubt that they care about the residents of Gaza at all beyond being a population to eradicate.

@pixelpusher220 @GottaLaff

I think when countries such as Iran, Saudi Arabia and Russia start talking international law, and protecting civilians, you know things are going to get very very bad indeed.

But yes, some of the language indicates that what Israel is going to do is very bad indeed.

Of course we can't speak out against Israel or we get branded anti Semetic.

Jews I have no problem with, Netenyahu and his colleagues in power I am very concerned about.

@GottaLaff

When is someone going to Tell the lunatic in charge of Israel that his argument is with HAMAS and not the Palestinians, or citizens of other countries.

He will get the message soon enough when citizens of other Arab countries are killed by Israel and they declare holy war.

Canada may hold back along with other countries, some countries won't hold back.

Treading some very dangerous ground here, for the sake of humanity open up the border, and let in aid, before you have 2.2 million people dying, which BTW equates to 1/3 of the number of jews who died int eh holocaust.

@thehill

In the documentary link I posted the USA did this after world war 2, only they refused entry to Jews,

Interesting documentary on some of the history of Israel and Palestine

Lets hope she gets the support she needs, not that I can think of how to undo the damage done here.

Apparently I got reported today for using the #Alt4me tag and not being blind. I was told by multiple people on Mastodon that if I didn't have the energy to do alt text for ever image I could use this tag and someone would do it for me.

Instead I got reported to my instance owner. You all need to make up your fucking minds what is acceptable and what isn't if you want people to stay on mastodon. As it stands, I don't feel comfortable posting images anymore because if I don't have the energy to write alt text then I get shamed, if I used #Alt4Me I get reported

You people make it so tiring that for someone like me with ADHD and Executive Dysfunction it is much easier to just not use Mastodon to post any images!!!!

I'd also like to touch on how people always shame others with "invisible" illnesses. I cannot escape it. Just because I am sighted does not mean I am not disabled in some ways. But people can't see ADHD and executive dysfunction, so I just get their personal diagnosis of 'LAZY'.

I can tell why artists aren't flocking here in droves.

I don't know what I am going to do going forward but I feel pretty fucking uncomfortable posting any images to Mastodon now lest I be shamed or reported or fediblocked because someone didn't like whatever about my posts.

Thanks for that.

Boosts highly encouraged I think everyone should see this.

@wausaupilot That is pretty impressive, one to watch for a future NCAA / NFL team perhaps.
