Many British adults regret not concentrating in their French or German lessons at school. Most believe that languages should again become compulsory in school.
Many feel ashamed that they cannot speak another language and would welcome the opportunity to learn.
Only 21% of UK adults said they can have a conversation in a modern language that's not their mother tongue, according to a YouGov poll commissioned by the British Academy.

You are NOT alone here, we need to stop this. If Muslims and Jews could march together they would send the same message about wanting peace.
"Opposing the actions of the Israeli government is not the same as supporting the atrocities of Hamas. Neither is providing the relevant history against which all this violence is taking place — history which most recently includes a 17-year-long blockade on Gaza that has limited the movement of food, building materials, and people throughout the area, and which itself flows on from years of occupation and the Nakba. Acknowledging such context is not apologism. Historical context is a precondition for progress toward any kind of just peace."

I really hope that one day we will have peace in this region, so many historical sites that would bring in Tourists, alone, not to mention what we have NOT yet discovered yet.
I am sure archeologists work as one, regardless of their religion,
“‘As a Palestinian who'd like to return home one day, as a Palestinian who has brothers and sisters in #Gaza, and family, I wish we can do more - but #protest is what we can do at the minute.’
People were also heard chanting ‘from the river to the sea, #Palestine will be free’” #genocide #apartheid #humanrights #war #Israel https://news.sky.com/story/israel-hamas-war-around-100-000-people-attend-pro-palestine-protest-in-central-london-12989058
I really hope they replace the whole lot of em in charge of Israel, and the next government immediately sign the various treaties on international law to stop future governments doing what is going on now.
@LALegault From what I read in the Guardian today, the Israeli street wants an end to this war and then they want to get rid of Netanyahu, but after the war. Netanyahu has every incentive to prolong this conflict as much as possible. The hostages are just collateral damage.
I would suggest lobbying MPs but that seems a risky move in the UK.
Back action to bring those responsible and those who support this to the ICC to face trial, that is all we can do.
Be vocal on here too, condemn what is happening killing of civilians. Which will at least provide evidence you don't support crimes against humanity by any of the sides here, given Hezbollah are being dragged in and we have Islamic Jihad and other groups in volved.
Is there a way to halt the war machine?
Is there a way to halt the war machine? Amid the ongoing devastation in Gaza, it is evident that the intentions are for this destruction to be … Is there a way to halt the war machine?

Crimen de guerra, la entidad sionista bombardea el sur de Líbano con fósforo blanco.
War crime, something about bombading or Bombing Lenano (Lebanon) not sure on the other parts.
Wjhat we need is an aid truck full of aid, that is also covered in cameras, send it in let Isreal bomb it and then let the world see the video
Another thing tell Israel if one single bullet or shell hit Egypt then it is an act of war, against the whole Middle eastern nations.
@zleap
Israel has repeatedly warned Egypt that a single drop of fuel can't be delivered to Gaza.
Another demand is that the trucks can't enter Gaza and have to be emptied by the entrance of palestinian side.
This is so freaking depressing
especially with the current government.
What happens if being critical leads to someone suggesting tweaks to policies to make them work better. Surely any idea or policy should be subject to scrutiny and updating every so often to ensure that it meets the needs of the people it is designed to serve.
UK government keeping files on teaching assistants and librarians’ internet activity - and then pulling funding from conferences if people who have criticised their policy remain on the programme.
Lets hope the England Rugby team are watching, double revenge
This Cricket defeat and of course the defeat in the previous rugby world cup final
