Oh god my bestie had to entrust me, the most childfree friend she has, to pick up her kid and babysit for a few hours.

I got snacks, post-its and a giant tv, what else do I need to keep this tiny human alive?? 😅😅 #halp #adulting

One of the things I constantly run into (in anarchist circles, particularly as a school abolitionist, and in reading history) is discussion of age.

Unfortunately, there are still far too many people who are skeptical of Youth Liberation (many often misrepresent it as "ignoring the needs of growing children" rather than a more accurate understanding of it being "caring for children while acknowledging their agency and autonomy").

There are still far too many people sharing the ideals of "it's creepy if children talk to any adults except these few" (implying that all adults except those have bad motives, which harms our understanding of predators and predatory relationships) or "children *must* be in school because they won't learn in any other way" (neglecting what we know about how people learn). And they do this without even pausing to consider the ramifications.

But another often overlooked thing? Is the lack of being able to pass down and build upon a shared movement.

Send kids back to school so they can:
-Learn to be an order-taking capitalist cog in their future capitalist tyrannical workplace
-be babysat while parents go be capitalist cogs 8+ hours per day
-Get bullied, shamed
-Get covid & other illnesses
-Get substandard education (54% of US is below junior high reading level)
-Forced indoctrination into American exceptionalism / capitalism / fictional history / brain poison.

Schools out forever!

Covid 19 destroys brain matter, with cognitive decline even in mildest cases of the disease. Get a damn shot, wear a damn mask, social damn distance.

@zleap Cheers Paul! There are some ways to get newer LibreOffice packages on Debian-based distros - eg https://wiki.debian.org/LibreOffice#Getting_the_latest_LibreOffice_version - but those aren't officially part of the release.

I'm hiring a #community strategist for our new GovStack initiative that helps builds standards and reference models for #OpenSource software platforms and stacks that will speed governments' digital transformation efforts.

If you've got experience leading software dev communities, and you're ready to help make the world a better place, this just may be the perfect #job for you.

Fully remote with focus hours in Europe/Africa time zones. Details:

@zleap Thanks for the detailed bug report, Paul! You may also want to check in LibreOffice 7.1.5 (the latest version) in case the compatibility improvements in recent releases also fix it.
