My local bookstore, Dark Delicacies, has signed copies in stock and I drop by regularly to personalize them:

Last year, I ran a Kickstarter campaign to produce an indie audiobook (outside of Audible’s DRM walled garden), read by Amber Benson. It was the most successful audiobook crowdfunding campaign in world history!

@em @zleap @thor I think finding official hotline is far easier than locating their account on Fedi (or anywhere, Facebook or Twitter not being exceptions).

I mean average person will hardly follow these accounts just in case and all posts are shortlived and hard to be found afterwards.

I don't mind official entities to be represented on here but it would be mostly for social aspect, not emergency response.

Also good starting point for resolving any kind of incident for average person is their instance admin or mod team. Admins are not interested in problems with their servers so they are generally helpful and are easily contacted.

This #TruthSocial software #theft story is huge!

Its international scale.

A ex-president attempts to start a #socialPlatform supposedly to support truth by #lying about the origins of the software. Labelling the #Mastodon icon a mere bug, and labelling the platform proprietary, and not upholding the #AGPL license.

Is everyone looking forward to seeing this story in the international news, where it should be?

It deserves a proper hashtag – #mastoGate?

Someone has sent me 10 e-mails worth of what looks like Q-anon type conspiracy drivel mixed in with pictures of me with the subject "Truth Social" so right now I'm wondering if I should delete them and block the sender or keep them as evidence in case it escalates lol

Based on the fact this is AGPL, their case to release all source is going to be very strong, but I wonder what enforcement will look like.

The only big concern I have is whether a judge will view Conservancy as having standing.

> The [former] governor of Idaho is called Butch Otter. He's a staunch opponent of gay marriage, despite marrying a woman who was actually called Gay. So, he literally took part in a Gay marriage, which in 1964 was considered pretty progressive.

"Earlier this year, we announced working on a new generation of fully distributed chat, based on git.

We are excited to announce that the first public Beta is now available for testing on multiple platforms!

The most significant new feature is the introduction of our new Swarm technology, allowing for a fully synchronized history across devices, and guaranteed message delivery even in case of connectivity loss."
