The first time your partner hits you, if you have an income and are able to, leave. Please leave. They are showing who they are. People who hit, almost never change. There are shelter homes if your family is hostile. And if you are able to, keep a friend in the loop.

Hey cis friends! I want to help you understand some stuff about the #trans experience that can be confusing (including to myself, before I figured out I was trans). FYI, this is intended as a 101 course, skipping a lot of nuance and detail.

Let's begin with terminology. "Trans man" means a man, frequently someone who was born with their body in the wrong configuration. Likewise, a "trans woman" is a woman. Don't overthink these. The term says who they really are, not who they were.

@cwebber Spritely dating app when? ;-)

Seriously, none of the existing apps seem acceptable/usable. If I were single/looking, I'd need to make my own or trick someone else into making something better. I met my partner on Okcupid, but it seems they were bought out and destroyed / actively sabotaged, they're everything they once railed against.

Dating is too important for corps like Match Group to control it, we need anticapitalist options.

Celebrate with us: We have published our first professional video ever. 🤩🥳 Our goal is to educate people who are still using the Google ecosystem to get off the platform and start looking for alternatives. Help us with this mission by liking and sharing our video. Together we will change the web for the better! ♥️

At some point we have to start culling off subject accounts, so please MOVE

We now have 8 billion humans.

Recently, we experimented with a new social media account on #Mastodon. Now we've taken a few steps further. We run our own server open to all.

Looks like there's a lot of people joining the fediverse.
#Introduction Hi, I'm Ferass. I love programming and I'm currently working on POSIX core utilities for UNIX-like systems. I love UNIX-like systems and libre and simple software. As such, I mostly use simple and minimal software. I currently use Artix on my laptop and @postmarketOS on my phone. I have a website at https://vitali64.duckdns.org (Tor users: There's an onion version of this website).
Thanks for stopping by!

🥳 #Mastodon4 is out now! The "update includes a ton of improvements, like following hashtags, translating posts, editing, an improved filtering system, customizable user roles for administration, but also some important security fixes." - @Mastodon

I also want to avoid instances full of too many Australians, too, so geographic instances don't appeal to me.

To be clear, not because I have an issue with my fellow Australians, but because to me social media is about expanding the things I see. I like following (and generally seeing) people from a wide number of countries, cultures and places if I can manage it.

With all the new people, it's time to say hello and mention how #Owncast is looking for people to contribute to the project!

It's an exciting time as some really cool work is going on, and the project is growing along with the rest of the #Fediverse.

If you find this free and open #livestream project interesting and want to be involved, there's never been a better time.

Say hello and find out what part you can play in a project that people think is pretty cool.

Going to have to spend a good while later finding folks, both old follows and new. I'll toss out a few hashtags of interest for stumbling into any like-minded folks though. Maybe I'll find every rural queer lefty sheep farming weirdo on mastodon. 😉

Trans community and antifascists shut down pathetic TERF rally today in #NYC. The group's leader, a British grifter who goes by Posie Parker and is known for working with the far-Right, didn't even show up. Sign says, "Stay Out of Sylvia and Marsha's City!," a reference to Sylvia Rivera and Marsha P Johnson, who both participated in the Stonewall uprising.
