Poor people who defend capitalism aren't capitalists, they're the capital. They're not sitting at the table, they're dinner

What strikes me as notable and important in the shooting death of Anthony Lowe, Jr. is that police deemed him a threat because he had a large butcher knife.

However, at the time he was shot (having already been tasered) he was not in his wheelchair, and was attempting to evade police, not move toward them, by crawling on his leg stumps, pulling himself along with his arms.

How was he a threat? Was he suddenly going to take flight?

Fossil fuel giants are acting as climate criminals – polluting our planet, creating 100s of toxic oil spills & leaving the public to deal with the damage while they reap billions in profit. Govt *must* end all new licences & kick out fossil fuels for good

While we are reasonably focused on Tyre Nichols, we need to pay attention to the fatal police shooting of Anthony Lowe, Jr. in Huntington Park, CA on Thursday.

Like more than half of Americans, killed by police, Mr. Lowe was disabled, a double amputee who used a wheelchair.

Like more than half of Americans killed by police, Mr. Lowe was having a mental health episode when he was killed.

US renewable energy farms outstrip 99% of coal plants economically – study.

It is cheaper to build solar panels or cluster of wind turbines and connect them to the grid than to keep operating coal plants.

There are a number of websites on the net that allow us to explore the tree of life and the interconnections between species.

While the Evogeneao site is not the most detailed or comprehensive, it is kind of cool how it describes us all as cousins.
