1/ We get told we give up or quit because of imposter syndrome. If only we have enough confidence & self belief. We get told it’s our fault. An internal malfunction. Too much sensitivity & self doubt. The longer I experience & see the more I realise how nonsense such narratives are. If the outside world keeps chipping away at your confidence & self belief all your life of course they’ll get hit. Of course you’ll run out of energy to constantly build them up.

Been to the vigil for Brianna Ghey in Leeds. It was important to stay all the way to the end (regardless of the freezing cold and rain) to hear all the testimonies, particularly from the trans and non-binary young people. Many had never talked in public before.

Please help save The Doon Valley Railway which is Scotland's only preserved industrial #railway. The buildings leased by the railway are being put up for sale.

#HarvardBookStore in #CambridgeMA is my favourite bookstore, and their events are part of why.
I had a great time yesterday evening at the reading+discussion of *The Terraformers* with @annaleen! For example, I learned that a planet can have a molten core and volcanoes, but no plate tectonics, leading to the volcanoes making persistent lava tubes and staying in the same place over long timescales. I love #scifi with real #science

I'm 40+ & owning a car in #Copenhagen would significantly *reduce* my #QualityOfLife - though thanks to #LetsGoDK #CarShare I can access one when I need.

But it's clear young relatives in rural #England are utterly #Car dependent. Without safe #CycleInfra even #Ebikes are far too dangerous.

The #Future is here, but it's not evenly distributed.

Like… if these are real, then this OpenAI chatGPT/Microsoft Bing integration is… Really not ready for public use. I mean, these examples legit read like you gave a recalcitrant 4 y.o. epistemic and motivational determinative authority.

Which, depending on the nature and persistence of these errors, could turn genuinely deadly.
