So, it is possible for a group to make the collective decision to leave Twitter. Scientists "suffering insults and mass-spam are abandoning Twitter," and setting up shop on Mastodon.

So with DeSantis possibly announcing his whitehouse bid this week, I quickly re-wrote the lyrics to the Dad's Army theme tume, (Who do you think your are kidding mr Hitler) but modified the lyrics a little for the presidential race.

Original lyrics here.

Who do you think you are kidding mr DeSantis
if you think we're on the run
we are the boys who will stop your little game
we are the boys who will make you think again
so who do you think you are kidding mr DeSantis
If you think the dems are done

Mr Biden is running for the white house, with Kamala as vice VP
He'll come home each evening, knowing the job is getting done
So who do you think you are kidding mr DeSantis
If you think that bidens Lost

Ron DeSantis is expected to enter the Presidential race this week. You might want to hide your Dalmatian puppies now.

Unapologetically boosting this because it's a nice story about a kid who fell in love with computing through @PyretLang (which runs fine on 6yo computers) and now runs his own education program. Go Isaac!

I’m done cross-posting @elementary to Twitter. I really hoped it would get better, but with the latest news of Elon promoting Ron DeSantis’ presidential run, I’m done. It’s become a far-right social network no different from Parlor or Truth Social and I won’t be a part of it.

@dsfgs the follower counts are acreate with no algorithms - to build followers, talk to like-minded people.

Ron DeSantis is announcing his run for president on Twitter

Both Twitter and Florida are diabolically aligned:

Lying about Covid
Pushing Russian propaganda
Threatening educators
Pushing conspiracy theories
Aiding white suprematists
Attacking trans people
Outing LBGTQIA minors
Gathering student menstrual data
Remove companies’ 1A protections
Restricting reporter access
Promoting fraud

If you are still on Twitter: You are part of the problem.

Using the 14th Amendment to raise the debt ceiling is perfect given MAGA is today’s Confederacy. My new article on how Section 4 of 14th Amend was enacted to protect the US economy from the traitorous Confederates. Today that threat is from MAGA: deanobeidallah.substack.com/p/

How Much Damage Will Lunar Landings Do to Other Lunar Landers?

When lunar landers reach the Moon, they will kick up a cloud of lunar regolith. Because of the lack of atmosphere and low gravity, some of that regolith will be hurled into orbit and cause a hazard for future lunar landers. Each landing will create a plume that future landers will need to route around, and eventually, the lunar surface will be unreachable until the debris returns to the surface. In. a new paper, researchers attempt to calculate how much of a risk this will be to our lunar landing efforts.

There are many, many people who hate Ron DeSantis, hate Elon Musk, and will continue to use Twitter because the loathsomeness of these men simply does not affect how Twitter fits into their lives. They aren’t interested in making a statement, or think doing so would be futile anyway.
