There are rules, at my medical school, about what you can and can't accept as gifts from pretty much everybody. Amongst the things I have to report is when people provided me with substantial travel resources.

And you're telling me that the Supreme Court of the United States doesn't have a rule that would include disclosing a $100,000 flight in a private jet? 😐

@ChrisMayLA6 Tories eh? 1984 I was a teacher in a school with many leaks in the roof. Getting no-where with officials the head drove to county hall to shout at the director. He came away with £50 from petty cash to buy buckets. At my daughter's school slates were falling from the roof into the playground. The council erected barriers to stop the kids playing in the danger zone. And bought buckets. 40 years later we still let these people have power over us. Why?
