With regard to carbon capture, does this actually solve the wide issue of greenhouse emissions. I was under the impression that CO_2 is the MAIN greenhouse gas, however there are other gasses that contribute to the greenhouse effect.

So by removing CO_2 we solve part of the issue, only for cars, that are pumping out CO_2 they are also pumping out other gasses such as Oxides of Nitrogren and Sulful as well as carciogens such as Benzine, as well as particulates that are also dangerous to human health.

So how much does carbon capture actually solve the problem, when we just need to reduce these emissions, and plant more trees.

Or am i missing some important point here. ?

The U.K. PM Rishi Sunak has just announced licenses for 100 new gas and oil mining sites in the North Sea.

It's shocking news, but 100 new licenses are not the same as 100 new mines. It's a decision that can and will be overturned.

This is unacceptable. We don't have to accept this.

At least three groups — "Fridays for Future", "Fight Fossil Fuels", and "End Fossil Fuels USA" — are joining together to organize mass climate protests and strikes in September.

Here is part of their message...
__________________________

Our world is in crisis. Extreme weather caused by the climate emergency is wreaking havoc in our communities and ecosystems across the globe, causing social insecurity and harm to people.

The biggest cause of this crisis is fossil fuels — coal, oil, and gas.

The fossil fuel industry is driving a predatory and destructive economic system that harms people and the planet, fuelling climate break down.

Fossil fuels are bad for the climate, for ecosystems, for our people, for our health, for our democracies and for our economies.

The science is clear: what the world needs now is a rapid and just transition to an energy and economic system that is efficient, fair, and universal. A system based on clean energy sources, and produced with respect for nature and the sovereign rights of Indigenous peoples.

This September, as world leaders discuss climate action at the United Nations in New York, people on every continent will join the largest-ever globally coordinated action and together WE WILL end fossil fuels.

The climate crisis is escalating but so is the global movement for climate justice. We need all hands on deck to win this fight.

Being trans is not a traumatic experience, it’s society, hatred and bigotry that make so many people experience trauma related to our own identities

This trauma derives directly from social construction, and can just as easily be deconstructed. That's what needs to happen🏳️‍⚧️

I walk into a clothing store. Start browsing the shirts and shorts. Clerk comes up.
"Hi, what are you shopping for today?"
"Oh, just for myself."
"Okay, well, the woman's section is on the other side of the store 😁😁😁"
"Thanks"
I walk out of the clothing store.

HOW TO SURVIVE THE HEATWAVE:
1. Stay hydrated.
2. Have an ice cream cone.
3. Dismantle the fossil fuel industry which is literally burning the planet for the short term profit of a vanishingly small capitalist class.
4. Wear loose clothing.

#JWST has captured a tightly bound pair of actively forming #stars, known as Herbig-Haro 46/47.

Look for them at the center of the red diffraction spikes, appearing as an orange-white splotch. Herbig-Haro 46/47 is an important object to study because it is only a few thousand years old.

Targets like this give insight into how much mass stars gather over time, potentially allowing them to model how our own Sun, which is a low-mass star, formed.
