Today I filed a formal complaint against #YouTube with the Irish Data Protection Commissioner for their illegal deployment of #adblock detection technologies.

Under Article 5(3) of 2002/58/EC YouTube are legally obligated to obtain consent before storing or accessing information already stored on an end user's terminal equipment unless it is strictly necessary for the provisions of the requested service.

In 2016 the EU Commission confirmed in writing that adblock detection requires consent.

People saying there should be fewer manifestos — I disagree, there should be far more manifestos. Everyone should have a manifesto.

Try to write down the 5-10 things you truly believe in. At minimum it's a good exercise.

I can feel distress over dead Israelis without being a Zionist.

I can condemn acts of terrorism *and* war crimes for the atrocities they both are.

I can condemn the use of human shields, and also condemn ongoing occupation and apartheid.

i see the random, wanton acts of terror, and i also see the everyday, grinding, damaging acts of oppression.
