Totally get it. It is a real downer to write the words "fascist autocracy." It turns people off. It is a sure way to not get boosts or likes on social media. Nobody wants to contemplate what living in a Trumpian fascist state that would really be like.

When the "big news" broke on Friday that a deal had been reached to compensate poorer nations for disaster recovery my first thought was that they would use it as an excuse to not reduce emissions. And that's exactly what they did, including Canada with our useless few million$ pledge.

Why reduce emissions when you can just "buy" your way to "safety" for those affected? But that is a lie. There is no safety if the world is upside down and on fire. There isn't enough money in the world to rebuild the lives of the billions of people that will be put in danger by extreme weather and other impacts from climate change. They are guaranteeing world chaos, mass migrations, famine and disease. All because they would rather make money with the status quo than try to do anything else. They are climate deniers like they always have been. Comfortable with their position, unwilling to move, and holding all the cards. They will kill us all.

More and more, the only path forward I see for the people of the world to stop using fossil fuels before its too late is rebellion against the Lords of Oil.
