Democrats have been pushing for $2K relief checks for months (some of us for $2K paid on a monthly basis.)

So if he's going to offer it, let's hold him to it.

Everyone should call their Congressional Representatives today, especially their Republicans ones, and demand it.

Call the Capitol switchboard, 202-224-3121, and you'll get connected to your 2 Senators and your 1 House Representative. Say "I demand Congess pass the $2000 relief checks that Trump is promising."

Let's see what happens. Make a lot of noise. #CallToAction

Pelosi responds to Trump: Let's push for $2K checks 'this week'-

Hi, Pat here. I'm just a geek.
(she, he, they... anything but it)

I'm a refugee from that bird-brained platform. (They shadow-banned me.)

I think privacy is important.

Here's a weird joke I made up as an intro:

A man walks into a bar...

At first he's in limbo,
then the bar falls.

Then the bartender hangs up the bar again.

Then it's the next guy's turn to try to bend over backwards and shimmy under the bar.

The article has been super popular and it seems using old machines for a very long time is a quite common practice but one that people also feel insecure about. A cursory reading of comments across the web tells me that part of the attraction to the article (or at least to commenting on it) is the recognition or validation of other people doing the same.

Here's an interesting statistic from the web logs: 10% (~7k unique visitors) of all traffic to the article has used a machine with OS X 10.1 Puma. That is an OS from 2002. I believe that is the last generation of #PowerPC #Apple computers, but I might be mistaken. It seems to good to be true though but I can't really think of a reason why this number would be wrong..

Massive use of user agent switching should lead to way more even distribution of other uncommon OSes as well? Does anyone know what could be up?

@publicvoit @zleap Thanks, Paul. Hi Karl, some resources:

I’m in the process of forking Site.js to focus it specifically on Small Web & develop its protocols, developer and general experience, etc but Site.js will continue to be maintained as a tool for general personal/small web sites.

How do you know when something is complex? When a free and open source person tells you that it’s simple.

Good grief, great article and something we can and should use to strengthen the argument for using privacy tools and sites such as the fediverse.

Another release!

This one has some various improvements, bug fixes.

There are also some big changes in how the feeds are handled internally: they are now cached and should provide better performance and make the app feel smoother. Might still have some rough edges but it's a much better base upon which we can build further.

With ❤️, happy holidays!

@flav > what's the point of the Fediverse if instances are blocking each other because they can't deal with different opinions?
I'm not sure, I was added to a blocklist for arguing with a Gnome developer who claimed "Pleroma is for racists, by racists, and the developers have encouraged this". I bring up that he was a "Gnome developer" to show you the sheer caliber of bigbrain on this guy. Oh and he's a self identified autist, that may also explain working for Gnome (as a diversity hire).

Regardless this is consistently the behavior I see from Masterdongs. "Block this person because I told you so! why won't you block them? now I'm blocking all the people who won't block the people I block" among other harebrained logic like "words are actual violence" and "the fediverse is inherently racist because only smart and rich people can enter it" and "the software known as Pleroma is racist"
