I've got a heart rate monitor with ANT+ and Bluetooth for 24/7 wear, with the goal of trying to avoid PEM for #MECFS. I'm looking for an Android app that will take continuous readings and sound an audible alert when I cross an HR threshold (preferably customizable). I have had no luck. Help? Boosts welcome. @MECFS @GwenfarsGarden

My uncle just finished 1.6 kg, 700 pages long dictionary of Northern Sami, a language spoken by around 20,000 speakers.

Sami are an indigenous people who have inhabited large parts of Northern Europe spanning from Russia to Norway for millenniums.

He has dedicated his life to advocate for their rights and preserve their languages and culture. This book is a major contribution in an effort to ensure that this ancient language will be passed on to future generations.

@zleap @thor I don't think the solution to men not being able to speak freely is to put the same restrictions on women

it’s a shame there is no sovereign hacker state where the Internet is a playground for techies and nobody can do shit about it except, uh, go to war

@zleap Japan doesn't really do grounding for their outlets. They treat neutral as ground...

OwnCast is a free open source self-hostable streaming platform, basically a libre alternative to Twitch, and also currently testing Fediverse support too!

There's more info about it on its website at https://owncast.online

The project is looking for help running an OwnCast dedicated Fediverse account. (There is currently a bot at @owncast but this just provides automated posts about streamers.)

If you think you can help with this, or want to be involved with the project in any other way, get in touch with OwnCast here:

The project lead is on the Fediverse at @gabek

FEDS ARE ORDERING GOOGLE TO ID ANYONE WHO SEARCHED CERTAIN KEYWORDS
Google has been asked to identify user data on anyone typing in certain search terms, raising fears that innocent online users could get caught up in serious crime investigations at a greater frequency than previously thought.

In an attempt to track down criminals, the Feds have started using new "keyword warrants" and using them to ask Google to provide them info on anyone who searched a "victim's" name or address.

“Trawling through Google’s search history database enables police to ID people merely based on what they might have been thinking about, for whatever reason, at some point in the past,” Jennifer Granick, surveillance and cybersecurity counsel at the American Civil Liberties Union, told Forbes.

“This never-before-possible technique threatens First Amendment interests. To make matters worse, police are currently doing this in secret, which insulates the practice from public debate and regulation,” she added.
