@allison @2ck I don't remember them outright saying they want DVI gone like they have with VGA, but yeah, not many cards have DVI nowadays.

Though if they kill VGA they'd also drop DVI-I at the very least, because it allows passive conversion to VGA.

@izaya @2ck They want everything that can facilitate copyright circumvention gone, this is also (I suspect) one of the big drivers for ME/PSP being mandatory on pretty much all x86 CPUs

@allison @2ck the upside is that HDCP is broken anyway, but it's still encouraging me to pirate rather than buy things
