Recently had a nightmare about functional programming - I was back in a highschool math exam and the question asked me to solve an algebra problem using the concept of "functor". "Are you sure it's a first-year highschool subject?" "Yeah, functors, it's just a generalization of functions..."

really though, there are some teaching young folks abstract algebra. spongy little brains will get that stuff if it's presented the right way
