@neilhimself Did Turkey just change their name without telling me?!

@baruch @neilhimself Turkey is the anglicized version of their country's name. They did recently ask the UN to start referring to the country with the traditional Turkish spelling and pronunciation, though. You say it like, "tur-key-yah."

@2ck Yes, I wish I knew sooner. Of course, Britain was the great empire that ruled the world without regard for other cultures, and the English names of most countries are not what the natives want to be called.
