Currently translating, letter by letter via #AI, for my own purposes. I can check the resulting English against the #Spanish in the #Book.
This is where my US upbringing is actually a bit of a bonus, because it's a delight at my age to discover these fables, which are still beloved in so many parts of the #Muslim world. It's a little like opening an advent calendar very slowly.
This is a #Library book, by the way. The price online is shocking. I might have to wait and buy an Arabic-only version when I can actually read the #Arabic Insha Allah, or perhaps there's a cheaper English #Translation.
@rabia_elizabeth what resources have you found most helpful for learning Arabic? are you learning to speak or just read it? I bought a Quran that's all in Arabic, but I can only read the numbers so far 😆
@2ck I've had to enroll in a full-on classical Arabic class with a Canadian shaykh as instructor. I messed around for 18 months, but couldn't find anything suitable till now.
We use the Attakallum learning platform as well, which is a great resource. But without a teacher whose first language is English, I'd be hopelessly lost as a beginner.
