NOTE that I am absolutely not buying a Raspberry Pi 5 *until I can think of a specific use for it*. Because I live in a heap of e-waste as it is, and I can always press an unused RPi400 or a Mac G4 Cube into service if push comes to shove.

The specific use is "fun, and helping ensure I don't develop a very much more expensive hobby or habit". If other people can smoke or drink or enjoy $8 lattes daily, I figure I'm allowed to play with new hardware.

Actually, $100 for a pi with trimmings is easy. The apple vision is going to be a much bigger thing to justify...
