Hey #MedMastodon, I'm Abby, I have an M.S. in biology and am currently at my local state university assisting a physician in his clinical trials for sarcoma. I am premed looking to apply in 2023.
I'm passionate about social determinants of health, immunology, voting, reading, and baking.
My journey towards medicine has been a rollercoaster but I absolutely love learning about how I can impact patients! Looking forward to interacting with you all here and eventually being one of you 😆

@Britt I'm not sure yet, definitely keeping my options open. I was thinking rheumatology when I started this process, moved to an interest in EM, but I love the idea of developing a long term partnership with pts like I'm seeing the doc I work for do (orthopedic oncology - mainly sarcoma pts). I've always had an interest in rural med so I've kind of looked into IM/EM too!!
