Elon Musk just banned the culture jamming anarchist publication CrimethInc. from Twitter after a request from Andy Ngo, the fascist activist who's beloved by multiple mass shooters.
CrimethInc. has had a Twitter account since 2008, has never violated Twitter policies, and has never been suspended until now.
Twitter and coups
@micahflee Musk's pretense of supporting political moderation and 'free speech' must be clearly seen as a lie. Just a day or two after declaring 'amnesty' for edgy political accounts, Twitter has gone on a censorship binge against 'antifa' accounts. None of the accusations against Crimethinc rise to the level of what Trump did (spread lies to rally an angry mob with a history of violence on the steps of the Capitol and goaded them into disrupting Congress).
On the electoral side, Musk encourages people to vote for Republicans but claims that this is solely to avoid one-party dominance -- as if nothing changed when the Republican leadership (McCarthy etc) supported Trump's attempted coup by providing procedural cover and propaganda.
