Good morning beautiful mastodon people!
I know a lot of folks here have done much research on this, so I'll ask:
A friend has #covid (first time) and is trying to decide whether to take #paxlovid . She's very concerned about #longCovid . But also concerned about liver issues with Paxlovid.
She's COMPLETELY current with vaccinations and (from what I read) has NO risk factors other than gender (female) and age (60). She's in quite good health.
My gut is she should not take paxlovid. Thoughts?

@constantorbit I took it. I am close to that age and have some minor health issues. It really helped the symptoms. My mouth tasted like I had sucked on grapefruit infused pennies though.
