so I’m feeling very lucky to have grown up with Levar! he’s in my head forever! for 80s kids with absent working parents, levar on the TV was an influential friend & role model. maybe we’re just now seeing what an act of liberation education it was to have a Black man under the iconography of a rainbow personally showing millions of children how to love and value reading as a way of life
