@kensanata I see. In the case this is all computer work, maybe you could look at one of the solutions which log window titles. Afterwards you can perform rule-based analysis of what is what. I do not know about equivalents for Windows and Mac, but I guess there are such (sometimes quite spooky) programs. For Linux some people around me use arbtt and I know ulogme is also useful:
