Unironically thriving that at a hackathon I recently participated in, I implemented a ML model as a fun little joke feature for a laser tag match-making system, and unironically every judge that came across the point looked like they would rather watch paint dry than listen to any part of it.

I love ML but at the same time I love that people realize it's a buzzword with no substance in most cases.
