Feelings about Mastodon: I hope it improves or that I’m able to learn how to use it better because …Twitter. It is slow: takes time to upload an image. It takes time to see current events. With Twitter, I heard notable news at least one day before it was on larger media channels. Here, not the case. I don’t know what I don’t know. I feel like I need time and energy to tweak the settings and get on a good server. With Twitter, the magic just happened. I don’t have the time or energy right now.
@EndTheRegistry it might appear to be slow right now because all the server hosts (who, lets remember are volunteers that do this as a hobby) are struggling with the massive influx of new users. As things stabilize and people upgrade their servers as needed, it should improve 👍
