The more I use it, the more I keep thinking that Activity Pub protocol needs some kind of meta group; a generic "space" actor (into which other groups, contacts, tags, apps and mods may be dropped). An expansion on how Matrix works now for only messages. Opportunistic clients and specialized content apps would mushroom.
@LouisIngenthron Not even marginally. Hashtags are a brute force solution. Unscoped identifiers, what happens when two communities need the same tag with completely different meanings? Spaces could segment content spheres and scope semantically, physically, legally and operationally.
