Ah, btw. Note to all developers of gaming software: I will not play or install any #unity game anymore. Ever. No matter what changes Unity are making to their announced business model.
@ryo Why?
@LouisIngenthron because I neither support such a behavior like unity is showing off, nor developers that helps such companies blackmailing developers and, at the very end, consumers with such actions.
Even trying is out of questions. Every dev that supports Unity from now on is the same scum
@ryo Many of these devs made the decision to use Unity long before Unity made its announcement, and now they're locked in. They've poured their life savings into creating something new, and you want to punish them for a decision by a third party that they likely oppose too?
@ryo 99% of business plans rely on services from other businesses. Nobody can do everything themselves, and your demand that they do is unrealistic and misinformed.
@LouisIngenthron They they need to choose wisely.
Unity is now beyond what's acceptable. So you'll need to choose another one or keep going.
You know the thing... going, going, gone.
@ryo They did choose wisely... years before Unity made this announcement.
Sorry if we can't see into the future sufficiently to earn your business.
@LouisIngenthron Oh well plenty of developers didn't choose Unity.
And yes, probably you're okay with it. But I'm not. And I hiope many other boycotty games made with unity. Sorry if your in the firing line. There is only one advice.... run!
@ryo That's cool. Go ahead and boycott the indies just trying to get by and instead spend your money on the major studios that can afford to hire labor at slave wages to build internal engines.
@LouisIngenthron Basically yes. And that facepalm emoji was really not appropriate when talking about a stupid business plan making yourself dependent on someones other software.
Because that is worth a facepalm.
