I've now spent 3 days working with Godot for an actual game. Overall it's a really solid engine so far but it's definitely got some rough spots for me. So I figured I'd do a quick thread of "What grinds my gears"

Some of these are really small, others are bigger

What Grinds my Gears a tiny bit: Needing to click exactly on the tiny "key" icon to add a keyframe in an animation instead of being able to click anywhere on the vertical section the key is in. Miss it by a few pixels and then I need to do a keyframe all over again.

What Grinds my Gears: Needing to create atlas textures and set regions one at a time. This one is bad enough that I'm going to set some time aside sooner rather than later to make a tool to quickly create multiple textures.

What Grinds my Gears a lot: Offsets for centering sprites are defined in the node instead of the texture. This means needing to set offsets every time an animation shows a particular texture. There's gotta be a better way to handle this but I'm not aware of it yet.

What Grinds my Gears a lot: wiring a Signal for a C# object will generate invalid code even if it's wiring to a method that already exists. This one I'm going to log a bug for assuming nobody has yet.

(it generates signal handlers outside of the relevant Node subclass instead of generating inside for new handlers or doing nothing for using existing methods)
