Look, if you're going to hook up your customer support to a robot, don't bother. Just put a big image of a middle finger on your customer support page. You'll piss off fewer customers.
@LouisIngenthron It is rare to reach a human on the phone these days, without having to convince a robot or AI system first.

@EricFielding Sure, and if it's difficult to get to a human, then it qualifies for what I was bitching about above.
But if you can press zero to skip it and get to a human, then they're still in the clear, in my opinion, because sometimes I do just want their hours and I really don't need to talk to a human for that.
@LouisIngenthron Yes, some small questions or issues can be answered by a robot. They are making it more difficult to get a human on the line, so it is a hassle. Repeating the word “assistant” seems to work most of the time.
