@ariaflame I don't even know how you could have possibly gotten that from what I wrote. Please work on your reading comprehension.
@LouisIngenthron Well, given the love affair that the USA appears to have with its military the shooter was the very definition of it. If he wasn't then what is your definition of it?
@ariaflame No, someone who commits a mass shooting is, by definition, not a "good guy with a gun".
"Good guy with a gun" is someone who uses a gun to defend the defenseless. It has nothing to do with who you work for.
@LouisIngenthron Well right up until the point where he let loose on the innocent he would have been defined as one. Since there is no way of telling who will do that ahead of time, then obviously nobody should be armed like that.
@LouisIngenthron Guns aren't used to defend. Guns are used to kill. They're not a shield, they are a weapon.
@ariaflame Tell that to the Ukrainians.
@ariaflame @LouisIngenthron
The shooter was the very definition of a crazy person, not a good guy. Anyone who threatens to shoot up a place should be in jail, if the local jurisdiction still does that. Anyone who hears voices should be committed, but we don’t do that anymore.
@LouisIngenthron @soller So you are saying there's no such thing as a good guy with a gun?
