The only aviation association I am still a member is #EAA, and this is one big reason why:

“More than 57,000 young people received flight experiences from volunteer EAA Young Eagles pilots as of 12/17/23. These flights were made possible by 4,493 pilots from 616 different EAA chapters who volunteered their time [money and airplanes] to help.”

This is from an EAA Press Release. Dick Knapinski for the win!

@Av8rdan For someone newer to the field like me, are there specific reasons you're not a member of others that you'd care to share?

@LouisIngenthron While they all provide great member services and advocacy, I do not own a bizjet so NBAA seems to steep a price. I still tell anyone currently flying to ABSOLUTELY be an AOPA member, and I just love everything EAA, and does well so I stay a member (mostly for their magazine).

It comes down to need for me. All three provide very good content, but I am not flying anything but a sim right now so just balancing my (fixed) budget to current actual need.

@Av8rdan Gotcha, that makes sense. I'm a member of AOPA, and I'm gonna have to look into EAA.

Just wanted to make sure you didn't drop your membership because of something bad they did that I didn't know about (kind of like how so many gun owners hate the NRA, despite that organization nominally representing them).
