Yesterday afternoon, I joined 30 volunteers from all over the country to textbank with FL Orange Dems for the HD35 Special Election that took place today. We wend out about 15,000 texts in under a half hour. And you know what? Democrat Tom Keen just won his race by 500 votes.

@PamelaBarroway Just out of curiosity, how are you so sure the texts made a positive difference? Literally every person I know hates receiving unsolicited political texts.
@LouisIngenthron Great question! It’s not just the texts, of course. Rather it’s the collective action of people texting, postcarding, phone banking, canvassing etc.
But specific to the texts, the list was a particularly good one and I received a number of replies from people thanking me for the reminder and saying they would in turn remind others (the ask).
