I'm an experience furnace-fixer from the last behemoth we had, but this one was new maybe six years ago, so I figured we were in the clear for a while yet.

I used to have an appliance repair guy that was amazing. Available, punctual, reliable, and cheap. Sadly, he retired a little while ago... Didn't do furnaces, though.
@MichaelPorter Dryers are rather nasty cuz they're filled with very sharp metal edges, and everything is hard to reach.
Plus dryers seem to inevitably be bearings or belts, which are themselves frustrating to replace.
