It's unknown whether the naked mole-rat can pass the mirror test because no ethics committee will approve the experiment due to the potential for psychological #trauma to the test subjects.

This one is partly true (I think).
As far as I know, no one has done the mirror test with a naked mole rat, but doubt if an ethics committee would prevent the experiment for that reason. And I think the rat would be more traumatized by being confined and handled than it would be by looking at itself in the mirror (but I'm not sure).
