@cianmm I recently counted the amount of cars that ran a red light at a pedestrian crossing on my 50 minute walk home from work in Cork . It was 37. A majority of these ran the light so late the green man was on.
One of the worse spots was at the corner Anglesea Street and Old Station Road. The main Garda station in Cork City is sitting on this junction.

In Luxembourg where I live they are installing speed cameras on a lot of the traffic lights in the capital city. They don't only check your speed as you go through the lights on green but also flash you if you go through the lights on amber or red. Allegedly, they've been doing brisk business since they were installed. Sounds like Cork needs some of those!

I had to drive in Paris the other day for the first time in about 40 years. When I last drove there it was a complete madhouse but everyone steered well clear of me as I was driving an absolute wreck of a 2CV. This time the traffic was nearly completely sane. People were keeping to the speed limit and not cornering on their door handles on the notoriously slippery cobbles that are still the road surface in parts of Paris.

@Paulos_the_fog We definitely need that in Cork!
Also ré Paris, good to hear traffic chaos can be fixed. Though I feel there is little will for that over here at the moment.
