@Paulos_the_fog that’s not really very fair on the professionalism of those scholars tbf. As someone who studies this area myself. it seems very robust to me. There’s a much evidence for his existence as Napoleon’s.

It’s a thriving academic discipline and has contributed a huge wealth of knowledge to current thinking on all sorts of important and relevant contemporary events. Please don’t be so close minded.
