@ForeverTepsMom @StillIRise1963 this is my thought every time I walk through grocery stores here in Ohio and see "pink Himalayan salt"... 😆

@estheria @ForeverTepsMom @StillIRise1963 It's salt from mines.

But because it's pink and the mine is under the Himalayan plateau it's suddenly special.

There's a lot of nonsense like that, though. I shouldn't let it bother me as much as I do.

@justafrog @ForeverTepsMom @StillIRise1963 Himalayan salt in particular has started to bother me because it so glaringly contradicts climate efforts yet it's everywhere. There's a giant salt mine under Lake Erie. I can walk to the mouth of it from my house. I don't think we realize we are indulging ourselves in ways that only the richest of the rich could throughout history

You're right I was absolutely shocked to find Perrier & San Pellegrino bottled water amongst many many other European brands on sale in supermarkets in Thailand. What the hell are we thinking of - transporting bottles of water halfway round the damned world!!!

In my local supermarket in Luxembourg, during the run -up to Christmas some years back, I was horrified to see a bottled water brand called 'Bling' on sale. The bottles contained water (allegedly) from a spring in the USA!

George Carlin once said, "If you put together two things that have never been put together before, some shmuck will buy it."

@Oneworldnot3 @Paulos_the_fog @estheria @justafrog @ForeverTepsMom @StillIRise1963 Have you tried the Scottish delicacy of a deep fried battered Mars Bar. Oddly salt andCaramel work
